Task 6: Museum Visit, Nov 20th

On Friday November 20^th we visited V&A, Science museum and Natural History museum. It was a long day but a very productive one. I can easily say the Maharaja exhibition at V&A was the highlight of the day. It was a real large collection of pieces and so fascinating to see how every one of them was gathered there from different museums around the world and various collectors. Included very beautiful paintings (amazing details) manuscripts, jewelry, cloths (fabrics) etc, which were presenting Indian culture, kingship and history from the 18^th century to the mid 20^th. It was a really informative exhibition in total.

Then we visited Science Museum where I had the experience of a spaceship ride to the moon in a 3D theatre! However, one of the aspects that really caught my attention was the provided facility and learning kits for children, and how they are allowed to play around and interact with different machines and projects. All the touch screen equipments and the actual models that children can play with and interact made an amazing/ fun educational environment for them, which I think, is very beneficial.

At the end, we went to the Natural History Museum and entered the Cocoon on the Darwin wing!

In the cocoon there are so many different information and samples about insects, where again viewers could use various programs on touch screen computers and get the information they are interested in out.
